Client: WEBB Production
Role: Product & Graphic Designer
Tools used: Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, Divi, HTML/CSS

planning
From our earliest planning stages, the goal was clear: create a large-scale, visually impactful site that felt both experiential and editorial. A major priority was showcasing WEBB’s high-quality event recap videos prominently throughout the site. Working closely with our CEO and creative director, we developed wireframes and a direction that emphasized visual storytelling, simplicity, and bold typographic hierarchy.
My creative director selected the Divi theme to provide a streamlined build experience. As the only builder on the project, I was able to apply my working knowledge of HTML/CSS and dive deeper into development fundamentals—learning as I went to ensure the site met both design and performance standards.

Execution
Using Divi as a foundation, I implemented custom-coded solutions to push past the theme’s limitations—including a two-column, full-width portfolio layout (link) and flexible content modules. The site’s visual design leaned heavily into vibrant gradients and strong contrast, aligned with the energy of WEBB.
One of the biggest technical hurdles was integrating dynamic, high-quality video content. Our original vision included auto-playing featured videos in modules throughout the homepage, pulling directly from Vimeo. While this worked through a plugin and iframe override of the feature photo, the solution ultimately created performance issues and accessibility challenges. To preserve site speed and stability, we deprioritized the video autoplay feature and implemented lighter alternatives.

Going Forward
Although Divi enabled a quick and scalable build, its performance limitations became more apparent over time, especially as our video integration goals grew. I’m currently working with Avalaunch’s development team to address code bloat, resolve bugs, and implement SEO improvements. In parallel, our creative team has begun transitioning the site to Webflow to gain greater flexibility and cleaner performance. Additional development support is being brought on to ensure future iterations of the site can scale with the company’s needs.
As the sole designer and builder, I’m proud of what I was able to create, and even more excited for how the site will continue to evolve.
