Intuition Made Simple is an online course created by Carmen Margaziotis, a spiritual coach and guide who helps people cultivate deeper self-trust and intuitive awareness. Carmen’s approach blends emotional intelligence with energy work, creating a calming and empowering presence in her digital offerings. She approached me looking for a visual refresh for her course—something that could better reflect the growth and transformation she helps facilitate. In addition, she wanted a cleaner, more graceful way to present her client testimonials, which had been feeling disjointed and underutilized on her existing platform.

Our goal was to create an online learning environment that felt soft but confident—inviting users to go inward without overwhelming them with too much visual noise. It was important that the final design align with Carmen’s personal brand: serene, grounded, feminine, and rooted in a sense of magic without drifting into cliché.

Planning

To kick things off, I worked in Figma to map out the flow of the course and how users would interact with the different elements on each page. I focused on creating a layout that allowed the content to breathe while still drawing attention to key calls to action, testimonials, and Carmen’s messaging. I explored a few early design directions—some of which leaned into star motifs and celestial patterns to echo the theme of inner guidance and intuition. While those initial concepts were visually striking, they ultimately felt a bit too dominant in the overall composition.

After collaborating closely with Carmen, we shifted toward a softer, more minimal approach—retaining subtle nods to the mystical through color and type, but letting the content lead. The palette evolved into muted earth tones paired with calming pastels, and the typography was selected for its gentle but modern character. I also developed a mini branding package to accompany the course experience, including accent illustrations, icons, and graphic elements that Carmen could reuse across her website, email campaigns, and future offerings.

Execution

The course itself was built on the Thinkific platform, which offered a user-friendly interface but limited flexibility in terms of design customization—particularly when it came to dynamic elements like testimonials. The out-of-the-box testimonial modules didn’t support the layout or styling we had designed in Figma, so I wrote custom CSS to build a new testimonial block that was responsive, visually cohesive, and allowed Carmen’s client praise to shine.

I implemented a modular structure that kept each section of the course page visually distinct, using intentional spacing to guide the eye and reduce fatigue during scrolling. The result was a site that felt modern, airy, and deeply aligned with Carmen’s voice and mission.

Outcome

Carmen was incredibly happy with the final result. The redesigned experience gave her course a visual presence that matched the emotional depth of her teachings. Not only did it elevate the user journey, but it also reinforced credibility and trust—especially in the newly highlighted testimonial section, which now feels seamlessly integrated and authentic.

Our collaboration didn’t end with the launch. A few weeks after going live, Carmen brought me back in to help fine-tune a few areas based on new content she was adding, in addition to basic updates on her WordPress.

This project was a great example of how thoughtful design can amplify a personal brand and help heart-centered businesses connect more deeply with their audience. It also highlighted the importance of balancing visual storytelling with functional usability—especially when working within the constraints of templated platforms like Thinkific.
